WASHINGTON — The NFL Players Association has issued a statement rejecting a proposal to require new hair care products on all players.
The NFLPA released the statement on Monday in response to the NFL’s motion to dismiss the Players Association’s request to have the case heard by a jury in a separate hearing in Seattle.
The union is requesting that the trial court dismiss the lawsuit because it lacks sufficient merit and because the NFLPA believes the trial should be conducted by a neutral arbitrator, the union said.
The league has already said that new hair products would be available for players in 2019.
A hearing is set for April 6.
